Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 with 93% Screen to Body Ratio, SD845 and upto 10GB RAM is now Official

             After a lot of rumours and speculations Xiaomi has officially launched Mi Mix 3 in China ,recall it was the Mi Mix that started off the bezel less trend in the smartphone world which was followed by various design evolution and now today we have the latest Mi Mix 3 .  Like we expected the Xiaomi has improved up on its bezel less legacy with the new Mi MIx 3 and they claimed to have achieved a screen to body ratio well above 90%  by implementing a sliding design.By moving the selfie cameras to the rear slidable panel they could utilize the entire front for display thus allowing them to has an effective screen to body ratio of 93.4% .



                The sliding mechanism implemented on the Mi Mix 3 is magnetic,thus there are much fewer things to break or wear out, Xiaomi also claims to have tested the mechanism more than 300,000 times to gauge its endurance. Interestingly they have also included feature that allows the user to assign five different sounds to the sliding motion, while at the same time can also assign different actions to be executed when you push the screen down, like answering a phone call, or starting an app etc. Now coming to the build quality the Mi Mix 3 is build out of   7000-series aluminum alloy with tapered ceramic back to ensure better durability .The Mi Mix 3 comes in three enticing colors – a sweet Jade Green, Sapphire Blue, Onyx Black, while there is also a “Forbidden City Palace Museum” special edition that comes with 10GB RAM, which is also the most expensive in the bunch.


                  Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 features a 6.4 inch FHD AMOLED display with  a bezel-less design with 103.8% NTSC color gamut and offers Always on Display functionality. It would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6/8/10GB RAM ( limited edition) and offers upto 256GB of internal storage.  The camera departments of the Mi Mix 3 features a  dual camera on the back with 12MP main sensor with 1.4-micron pixels and fast dual-pixel autofocus, and a secondary 12MP sensor with telephoto lens for 2x “optical” zoom. The front-facing dual camera system consists of one 24MP camera and another 2MP sensor for depth perception in portrait shots. The main cam is capable of pixel-binning, which can could virtually combine sensors of individual camera for a large 1.8-micron pixels that are supposed to gather more light in night shot scenarios.


           Xiaomi has also equipped Mi Mix 3 with  decent  3200mAh battery with fast-charging technology while it also support wireless charging. Besides the unique 10GB RAM version,which is a first for the industry the Mi Mix 3 will also have a model with 5G connectivity, coming in “early 2019” when the first 5G phones from other manufacturers are expected to make a cameo, too. Recall previously, the Mi Mix 3 was rumored to come with Snapdragon 855, so it is entirely possible that the 5G model would also have  Qualcomm’s next-gen 7nm chipset.



            The Mi Mix 3 is available for pre-order immediately, and pricing takes off at the mere 3,299 yuan ($475) for the 6GB RAM / 128GB of storage model. The next trim is 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for 3,999 yuan ($575), while the record-holding 10GB RAM model is a “Forbidden City” edition that has 256GB of storage and costs 4,999 yuan ($720).
