Firstly, Xiaomi Poland teased the launch of the Mi A3 on July 25, but earlier today, Xiaomi Spain confirmed that it’s launching the phone on July 17. Xiaomi’s global Twitter account did not reveal any official launch, but if the tweet by Xiaomi Spain’s account is anything to go by, the Mi A3 launch is just a couple of days away. As for the confirmed features, the Mi A3 will have triple cameras on the rear side and they’ll be better than the Mi A2. Xiaomi has also confirmed the presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 32MP selfie shooter as well.
As for the rumours, the Mi A3 will be a rebranded version of the Mi CC9e that was launched alongside the Mi CC9 earlier this month in China. The Mi C3 will come will likely be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM. The phone will sport a smaller 6.01-inch Full HD+ display: The Mi CC9e featured an HD+ panel, but the Mi A3 will offer a Full HD+ display with a waterdrop notch on top.
The retail box images also confirmed the presence of in-display fingerprint scanner, triple rear cameras (possibly 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor). The phone will be backed by a 4030mAh battery, something which several users will love to hear.
Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite Likely to Launch Alongside Mi A3
Last year, Xiaomi launched two Mi A series phones- the Mi A2 and the Mi A2 Lite. The Xiaomi Mi A3 series is also expected to come with two phones- the standard Mi A3 and the lighter Mi A3 Lite. Earlier, it was rumoured that the Mi A3 would be a rebranded Mi CC9, while the A3 Lite will be the Mi CC9e. However, with the Mi CC9e now said to be the original Mi A3, it will be interesting to see the features of the Mi A3 Lite. At the moment, we don’t even know whether the Mi A3 Lite exists or not.
